different faces different places

Ask me anything   Laurie. 19. Textbook Pisces and liberal living and attending college in New Jersey. A lot of the time I use this blog as a soapbox for issues such as sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, and anything else that pisses me off about society. But there are also things I love and fangirl over, which you'll definitely see me posting as well! So I hope you enjoy my musings, and don't hesitate to leave any questions or comments in my askbox - anon is always on!

Can people stop judging other people for living different lifestyles already?

Just because you choose to not partake in a certain activity/lifestyle (ie: drinking, smoking, hooking up, etc.) doesn’t mean that whoever doesn’t make the same choice deserves to be looked down on. You not partaking in that activity/lifestyle doesn’t make you any better than those who DO partake in it.

However, acting like you’re better than them DOES makes you a judgmental asshole who likes to make people feel ashamed of themselves just so you can feel better about yourself and the fact that you don’t really do much besides be the aforementioned judgmental asshole.

In fact, just on a broader scale: if you’re going to judge someone, judge them for being a shitty person who causes any sort of pain or harm or danger to others. That’s really the only reasonable thing to judge people for.

In conclusion: I judge ANYONE that judges others for stupid fucking reasons that have no bearing on anyone else’s life.
